At the beginning of the Mini Strikers class on Monday 18th December 2017, James the coach kindly agreed to let me run the warm up game as part of my Play Maker course.
I put out two circles of cones and two goals, with one ball in the centre circle.
I decided that I was going to do a numbers game, and explained to the four boys that I was going to split them into two teams and number them 1 and 2. I told them that when their number was shouted out, they should run from their ‘camp’ and touch their goal and then run to the ball in the middle and attempt to score a goal, the first one to score would win a point for their team.
The boys played really well together and had a couple of really good attempts at goal. They understood what I had asked them to do and played well. James said I had done a good job.
